Compared to other instant hot water dispensers of the same class, this dispenser is a very powerful one as it works with 1300 watts and can provide around 100 cups of hot water per hour. Just for a comparison, most of the other heaters can give about 60 cups of water for the same amount of time.

A certain advantage of this dispenser is its tank, which has a holding capacity of 5/8 gallons. In addition to this, it is not under pressure. Moreover, it is made of stainless steel, and it is wholly insulated, which means that it can quickly reach the desired temperature of the water and keep it hot. You can adjust the temperature from 140 to 190 degrees.

If you are worried that the bladder of the unit may over-expand, don’t worry as it is equipped with a safety feature with which you can decrease or increase the heat. As this safety feature is located in an open vent system, there may be some occasional water dripping from the faucet. Thankfully, the expansion chamber is self-contained and reduces dripping. Another way to handle an occasional leaking is to lower the temperature. You can do this by using the setting knob, which is situated under the sink on the front of the tank.

The manufacturers warn you that this dispenser is not a filter. There is an option of mounting a strainer in the supply line. Even though this strainer is designed to trap any debris that may be in your water lines, it is not a purifier. If you want to, you can install a filter to the supply line before it gets into the heating unit.

Installation

Before you start installing this unit, keep in mind that it should be mounted vertically. As far as the faucet is concerned, you can install it in a spray hose opening in the sink or drill a hole for it. Remember that the diameter of the hole should be 1 ¼ inches min and 1 3/8 inches max. In order to minimize the risk of having the water lines kinked or twisted, you are provided with quick-connect fittings and improved connections that are easy to install. There is no need to buy a power cord as the unit comes with a pre-installed one. However, there are still some parts that you need to buy from the local hardware store to install it.
